Recharge your hair recharge your life
Long and thick hair is the dream of any South Indian woman and so is mine. During my teens, I had enviably long and curly hair which I was very proud of. I took good care of it and maintained it well. The pure, natural water of my village pond gave an extra shine to my hair. But my hair’s bad time started once I began my hostel life. The hard water there damaged my beautiful hair and I too, like most of the others, became the victim of the worst nightmare of all women – severe hair fall!!
As the days passed, my hair started losing its strength and glow. It became thinner day after day. The problem worsened after I shifted to Chennai. Being a working woman I got very less time to take care of my hair. Moreover, the heat, dust and pollution here completely damaged my “once beautiful” hair. After giving birth to my son, I almost got no time to think about hair care. Whenever I visited my native, people looked at me surprised yet worried. All faces had the same question – where has your beautiful long thick hair gone? To worsen my worries, upon seeing my hair my husband started saying that I look more aged than I really am. That was the most shocking comment received for my hair problem. Needless to say, that comment pricked me a lot and I decided to cut my hair short in order to make it look better and thicker. Once I did it, i started feeling much more confident. Though I was sad upon losing my long hair, which as I previously mentioned is the dream of any south Indian woman, I was happy that my hair looked better now.
To add to my happiness I came across Sunsilk shampoo and conditioner, which totally recharged my hair and life. I had tried a lot of other products before trying Sunsilk but the result obtained from Sunsilk was outstanding. Today I am happy that I have found the perfect product for my hair. Now my short hair looks shiny and healthy. Thank you Sunsilk for being there for me and for taking care of my hair. Now I have started dreaming of that day when my hair will be enviably long as it used to be once and I will leave it open with pride!

Beetroot juice
Beetroots are rich in folic acids and minerals. My hubby is a die hard fan of beetroots .Whenever he goes to the market, he buys kilos of beetroots without fail !!! So this vegetable is an inevitable part of our family's diet. Though i dont like the taste of beets much, i somehow try to consume it in the form of beetroot stir fry . I usually add more lemon juice and water during the preparation to suppress the beetroot taste.

Chicken omelette for toddlers
I came across a chicken omelette recipe in the blog Cooking N baking . I made slight variations in the recipe and prepared it for my son Kannan and he gulped it up all. So this is a 100 % toddler approved recipe.. :) Kannan is 2 years old now and he loves the chicken curry prepared by me. But since he is unable to chew the chicken pieces properly I usually make chicken cutlets for him. This time I tried chicken omelette instead of simple omelette .
Soya chunks fry
I got this recipe from Taniya's Easy and simple foods .When I went through her blog for easy recipes, i saw this one and was really impressed! I tried it with a few variations and the result was superb!!!!!!

Manga kichadi/ Raw mango in curd and coconut gravy
Kichadi and pachadi, these two names have always confused me. I used to wonder what the difference between the two is. Or are they both the same basically but named differently at different places?? I searched a lot about these two dishes and finally reached a conclusion. They are different yet similar.
In pachadi, we grind mustard along with grated coconut but in kichadi, we use mustard seeds only for seasoning. Simple right?? The preparation of the dishes are also as simple as that.. :)

Sharjah shake/Banana milk shake
It is one of the popular milk shakes of Kerala. During my college days, me along with my friends used to drink this shake often and i still remember those wonderful moments when we shared one sharjah shake among many friends. I have a lot of sweet memories associated with Sharjah shake and our St Josephs women's college!
If you are staying in Kerala, use Milma packet milk and njaali poovan banana for preparing this shake. I have tried making this shake using poovan,.njaali poovan and robusta banana and I personally feel that the drink tastes the best when prepared using njali poovan/poovan banana.

Chilly parotta/chilly paratha
My cousin used to eat chilly parotta from a vegetarian restaurant near to his college and he used to say that it is one the best dishes he has ever had. From the day he told me about this dish, I started searching for this item on the menu cards whenever i went to a restaurant. Finally after so many years, I too got a chance to taste it. Only that time did I realize why he was so much excited while explaining about this dish. Its really yummy and easy to prepare too.
Instant mango pickle
I'm a big fan of pickles and I always prefer to easy and simple methods for preparing them. Today i am sharing such a simple pickle recipe with you all. You won't be able to preserve it for longer periods like the normal pickles. Just a maximum of 4-5 days. Thats the shelf life of this pickle. That too only if you refrigerate it. ( I empty the pickle bottle within hours after preparing the pickle..so no tensions for me!!! :) )
