Theeyal is a thick gravy type curry. We can prepare theeyal with ladies finger, mixed veggies small onion bitter gourd or even with prawns.Amma used to prepare ulli theeyal and mixed veg theeyal.I love the combo of thick yogurt and theeyal :)
When I got some fresh onion I decided to try it .My hubby loves this version and sure he will give a portion to his collegues also.
When I called my mom for asking recipe she told me if you like saute the onion first or let it cook as such, but he first version is more tasty .So I decided to saute it and reduced the quantity of oil for tempering
