Chana masala/Chole masala
A delicious side dish for roti nan and bhature.This is the best combo for Bhature .Chole bhature!!!!!!
Ingredients:
- White chana : 200gm
- Onion sliced : 2 big
- Tomato chopped : 2 big
- Cumin seeds / jeerakam : 1/2 tspn
- Ginger : 1"piece
- Garlic : 10 cloves
- Coriander powder : 1 tblspn
- Chilly powder : 1 tspn
- Turmeric powder : 1/4 tspn
- Garam masala powder : 1.5 tspn
- Coriander leaves chopped : 2 tblspn
- Salt
- Oil
Method:
- Soak chana over night wash it and drain.Keep aside
- Grind ginger and garlic together to make a paste .Keep aside.
- Heat a pan / pressure cooker with oil.Add cumin seeds and let it splutter.Now add sliced onion and saute it well till it turn golden brown
- Now add tomato and saute it well till it turn soft
- .Add ginger garlic paste and saute it well..Add coriander powder chilly powder turmeric and garam masala powder and salt.Mix it well
- Now transfer the whole sauted masala to a cooker and add enough water(around 1.5 cups of water)
- Cook it in low flame for 3 whistle.When the pressure subsides open the cooker and add chopped coriander leaves.(I forgot to add )
Fav with poori always!! Every sunday BF when we eat only veg! Yummy recipe chechi!
