Pachamulaku Thenga chammanthi / Coconut dry chutney with green chilly

A yummy side dish for dosa and idly .It will tastes heavenly with masala dosa .


  • Grated coconut : 1 cup
  • Shallots / kunjulli : 6
  • Green chilly : 2
  • Ginger chopped : 1 tspn
  • Curry leaves : 2 springs
  • Coconut oil
  • Salt

Method :

  • Grind all the ingredients except curry leaves and coconut oil in a mixer without adding water..
  • Transfer the ground paste in to a bowl and add  chopped curry leaves and coconut oil.
  • Mix it well.Yummy dry chutney is ready to serve with idly , or dosa


  • Try to mix curry leaves and cococnut oil with your neat hands.It will give you a nice flavour.
