Manga chammanthi / Raw mango chutney; a super tasty chutney recipe goes well with rice.Manga chammanthi curd and pickle do the wonders!During my college time it was a hit in our gang!Amma used to make it with green chilly / birds eye chilly (kanthari mulaku).Here i used dry red chilly for a change.
Ingredients :
- Grated coconut : 1 cup
- Mango Peeled and chopped : 1/2 cup
- Red chilly : 3
- Shallots / small onion : 4
- Ginger chopped : 1/2 tspn
- Salt
Method :
- Grind together all the ingredients without water.
- Try to add mango pieces according to the sourness.
- You may replace red chilly with green chilly
We make raw mango chutney but this is a different form..and have never seen it shaped like this :)

ReplyDeleteMy MIL also uses kanthari mulakku for this chutney but I use red dry chilies,either way tastes yumm...chammanthi kooti choru kazhikkan vere onnum venda,yummy!!
