Carrot Halwa / Gajar ka halwa

This time it is for Beulah of fullscoops..To tell about Beulah ..a wonderful friend who is always ready to give a helping hand ..Almost one year back We started our friendship through blogging.She is always motivating me to do baking experiments(I know many others too started baking after seeing her pics and explanation)A true friendship doesnt need

Carrot halwa is an easy to prepare dessert.

Ingredients:

  • Grated carrot : 4 cups
  • Milk : 2 cups
  • Ghee : 1/4 cup
  • Sugar : 3/4 cup
  • Cardamom powder :1/2 tspn
  • Broken cashews : 4 to 6 

Method:

  • Heat a pan with ghee.
  • Add broken cashews and fry it. Drain it and keep aside.

  • Now add grated carrots to the same pan and saute it well.
  • When it starts to shrink add milk to it.

  • Let it boil and keep the stove in medium flame.
  • Stir it occasionally.
  • Once the milk starts to reduce in volume, add sugar to it and mix well.
  • Now stir it continuously.

  • When the mixture is almost dry add cardamom powder and broken cashews.

  • Switch of the flame.Yummy carrot halwa is ready!!
