Kondakadalai sundal/Channa sundal
It is a simple flavoured dish.Usually during Ganesh chaturthy and Navarathri, here all prepare it for the festival. I got it from near by temple as prasadam with lemon rice.I never tasted it before.It is a healthy and nutritious recipe.A good snack for kids too.Chickpeas are rich in protein. Due to high fiber and low glycemic index it is excellent for weight loss diet.

Ingredients:
- Kondakadalai/Chana:1/2 cup
- Coconut (grated):3 tblspn
- Red chilly:2
- Green chilly (chopped):1(optional)
- Shallots/Kunjulli(chopped):3(optional)
- Mustard:1/4 tspn
- Urad dal:1/4 tspn
- Asafoetida/Kayam:A pinch
- Curry leaves
- Salt
- Oil
Method:
- Soak chana over night and pressure cook it with salt.Cook it till water gert dried.Don't over cook it.
- Heat the pan with oil and add mustards,urad dal,red chilly curry leaves ,shallots,and green chilly in the same order.
- Saute it for few minutes.
- Add grated coconut.
- stir it well.
- Add cooked chana and stir it well till the moisture evaporates.
Very healthy protien packed sundial.
