    Cherupayar mezhukkupuratty/Green gram stir fry





It is a good side dish for rice porridge and a mega hit in my home. Green gram is rich in vitamin A, B, C and E. It is rich in protein and because of its low fat content green gram is considered as a super food for weight loss.


Ingredients:


  • Green gram/cheruayar:1 cup(200ml)
  • Shallots/kunjulli:10
  • Dry chilly:5
  • Salt
  • Coconut oil

Method

  • Wash and cook green gram in a pressure cooker by adding enough water.
  • Cook till the water gets dried. (If you are not able to add correct amount of water, just drain the water. But this is not a healthy way.
  • Crush both dry chilly and shallots together.
  • Heat a pan with coconut oil.
  • Add crushed dry chilly and shallots.
  • Sauté it well.
  • Now add cooked green gram.Fry it well.
