Cherupayar mezhukkupuratty/Green gram stir fry
It is a good side dish for rice porridge and a mega hit in my
home. Green gram is rich in vitamin A, B, C and E. It is rich in protein and
because of its low fat content green gram is considered as a super food for
weight loss.
Ingredients:
- Green gram/cheruayar:1 cup(200ml)
- Shallots/kunjulli:10
- Dry chilly:5
- Salt
- Coconut oil
Method
- Wash and cook green gram in a pressure cooker by adding enough water.
- Cook till the water gets dried. (If you are not able to add correct amount of water, just drain the water. But this is not a healthy way.
- Crush both dry chilly and shallots together.
- Heat a pan with coconut oil.
- Add crushed dry chilly and shallots.
- Sauté it well.
- Now add cooked green gram.Fry it well.
