Thenga chammathi/ Coconut dry chutney
It is a very tasty dish and can be had simply with plain rice. As kids, we always used to insist to our mom that she make this chutney at least once in a week. I still enjoy my lunch with this thenga chammadi and curd.
Ingredients:
Coconut: 1/2 portion
Shallots/ Kunjulli: 10
Dry red chilly: 5
Ginger: 1 inch piece
Tamarind/ puli: gooseberry size
Curry leaves: 1 sprig
Salt
Method:
- Grind all the ingredients together in a mixie.
- Mix it well and serve with rice.
So simple yet very very tasty!!!
My mom used to do this .Here i dont get shallots so missing these here :(
